The first Japanese artist signed to New York's historic dance imprint Ultra Records — label home to Kygo, Alesso, Benny Benassi, and Steve Aoki. A bass-driven tech-house DJ and producer, CARTOON performed at ULTRA JAPAN RESISTANCE in 2022 and 2023, sharing stages with Space 92, Popof, and Julian Jeweil.

CARTOON is a Tokyo-based DJ and producer working primarily in tech house — bass-forward, groove-led, built for the main room. In 2022 he became the first Japanese artist ever signed to Ultra Records, the New York dance label that launched Kygo, Alesso, Benny Benassi, and Steve Aoki. His Ultra debut single All Night Long was followed by Luv Forever (2024) and Funky Sound feat. IYO (2025) — four singles to date on the imprint.
He holds additional releases on TRAX Records, Flashmob Records, and sensor label, and performs internationally with a base in Tokyo. In 2022 and 2023 he performed at ULTRA JAPAN's RESISTANCE stage — the festival's underground techno/house wing — sharing bills with Space 92, Popof, and Julian Jeweil.
CARTOON also co-leads CARTOON × YELLOCK — a duo project pairing his tech-house foundation with YELLOCK's drum-and-bass approach, framed as a "digital-twins" collaboration between a human artist and a virtual human. Weekly radio continues on InterFM Tokyo. Representation: AUTHEN inc. (New York) with floating inc. (Tokyo) handling Japan management and bookings.
